Despite demonetisation, air passenger traffic rises 24percent in December

The government’s demonetisation move, which reportedly hit demand in several sectors, has not had any impact on air travel in the country. The Indian aviation industry’s strong passenger growth continued unabated in December when domestic airlines flew 23.91 per cent more passengers than a year earlier, according to latest data from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Agree. Developing a domestic transshipment port is a good idea if we talk about seaports, there are several countries and commercial centers around the world that don’t have a seaport and these countries have to use the seaports of other countries in order to import or export their cargo, which will give a competitive advantage.
