Nitin Prasad, Chairman, Shell Companies in India feels that the government is on the right track with its measures to attract international investments into the oil and gas sector. India's record breaking aviation growth continues unabated. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has said that the country saw the fourth highest number of passengers taking off in 2016, up two places from the previous year, overtaking the UK and Brazil.

India topped the global charts in domestic air passenger growth for the 23rd straight month in February, helped by strong demand and increased load factor, IATA has said. In February, the country’s growth in revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) stood at 17 per cent.

Assam Industry Minister, Chandra Mohan Patwary has said that the Union Civil Aviation Ministry is planning to pump in Rs 1,000 crore for creation of a new passenger and cargo terminal at Guwahati airport.
