Road projects worth Rs 20 crore have been launched by the Rajkot Urban Development Authority (RUDA) on October 26. It also launched other development works worth Rs 5 crore. The Nagaland government has taken initiative to improve roads in Dimapur, the State's commercial hub. In Cuttack, the ongoing integrated drainage development project and road construction work has doubled the water-logging problems in the city. The drainage project has been funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

In Uttar Pradesh, the Varanasi district administration has given the UP Jal Nigam (UPJN) a deadline of this month of September-end to complete its road digging and pipeline laying works in Varanasi city to facilitate road works to be done by Dussehra festival, which will commence from October 5.
