Government-owned hydropower developer NHPC Ltd raised Rs 7.5 billion on Thursday through private placement of bonds at very competitive interest rate of 6.80 per cent per cent for a loan tenure of 10 years.

The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has extended the effective date for implementation of the Approved Lists of Models & Manufacturers (ALMM) for solar PV modules and cells by six months to September 30 due to COVID-19 pandemic. The previous date was March 30.
