Despite stiff political hurdles, Nitin Gadkari-led Road and Highway Ministry hopes to soon push the long pending Road Safety Bill in the upcoming Parliament session.
´Subject is in the concurrent list so we need support from states. Though we are facing political problems we will try to pursue this bill in next Parliament session,´ Gadkari said, adding that talks are on with chief ministers of all states.
´Meanwhile, we have decided to form the Road Safety Authority and hope to get Cabinet approval for the same in a month´s time,´ he added. Road Safety Authority
