CREDA to set up hydro power plant in Jashpur

Power Update  /  Nov 01, 2015

The Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) would be going for installation and commissioning of a ‘Pico Hydro Power Plant´ at Village Muttu in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. The location of the water source for the power plant had been chosen at the left flank of Sogra Nala near Mutu Village in Jashpur district.

The Chhattisgarh Government is now going all out to develop sizeable hydro power potential to electrify villages in remote pockets of the state. CREDA had earlier invited reputed consultants from the field of development of mini/micro or small hydel projects for conducting detailed survey, investigation and preparation of detailed project report, and electrification of remote villages through hydro projects in the state, officials stated.

The proposed projects are going to work in isolated mode. The project shall be designed to fulfill the agricultural pump and lighting load requirement.

Agree. Developing a domestic transshipment port is a good idea if we talk about seaports, there are several countries and commercial centers around the world that don’t have a seaport and these countries have to use the seaports of other countries in order to import or export their cargo, which will give a competitive advantage.
