For setting up a 1,320 MW thermal plant at an investment of over Rs 10,000 crore in Vietnam, Tata Power has signed an agreement with the Vietnamese government on 20 November. The contract Long Phu 2 power project in Vietnam was bagged by the Tata Power earlier this year. The agreement was signed at a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, who was on a visit to India. The project consists of two units of 660 MW each.
