Ashoka Buildcon Bags Rs.950-crore Bihar rural electrification order

Ashoka Buildcon Ltd, one of India´s leading highway developers in the country, through its Power Division, has bagged rural electrification works worth Rs.950 crore in Bihar. The company has received Letters of Intent for the following projects from North and South Bihar Power Distribution Co. Ltd.

These are rural electrification works at Sitamarhi, West Champaran, Munger, Patna, and Sasaram districts in Bihar. The aggregate project cost for all these projects is Rs.949.88 crore.

In August 2016, the company had earned appreciation from the Bihar government for early completion of a challenging electrification project in Munger district, which became the first fully electrified district in the state of Bihar.

Ashoka Buildcon Ltd is one of the largest highway developers in the country with an impressive portfolio of over 28 PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects. It is present across nine states in the country executing several prestigious projects for national and state governments. The company is also active in the Power Transmission & Distribution sector with various power projects in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu & Bihar.
