Ramboll India announces diversification of services in buildings market

Ramboll has announced the appointment of Sundar Chandramouli as the Director to lead its Buildings business in India. Based in the company´s Mumbai office, Chandramouli´s responsibility will include spearheading the future growth avenues for Ramboll´s Buildings market in India.

Chandramouli´s appointment is a strategic step ahead of Ramboll´s focus to diversify its services in the buildings market to cater to specialised buildings including airports, Metro stations, industrial buildings (including large-format production facilities) and project management consultancy services.

Chandramouli brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked in the industry for more than 25 years across a range of portfolios and clients. Prior to joining Ramboll, he was Head of Buildings and Airports (Urban Infrastructure) in Tata Projects Limited. Having worked in the US, Armenia and the Middle East, he also brings with him an extensive international track record in the infrastructure market, an in-depth knowledge of market drivers, a solid experience within client development and an established network within the industry. He holds a Bachelor´s degree in Civil Engineering from Bangalore University and a Master´s degree from University of Kentucky, USA.

Ramboll has a market leading position in the buildings industry with a portfolio that boasts some of the most ambitious, innovative and large projects in India including the Amazon India headquarters in Hyderabad, Scania´s regional production centre in Bengaluru, VS Hospital in Ahmedabad and W Resort in Goa, among many others. Globally, Ramboll is among the top three buildings designers in Europe (Source: Engineering News-Record 2015 rankings).
