GSIDC to put Panaji on ´Smart City´ map

Even as the Smart City proposal is finalised, the corporation of the city of Panaji unanimously approved the proposal to allow Goa state infrastructure development corporation to go ahead and prepare the service level implementation plan for the Union ministry of urban development´s Atal mission for rejuvenation and urban transformation (AMRUT) scheme.

Goa to get Rs.700 cr infra boost

In a major step to give a boost to the poor infrastructure in Goa, the Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has proposed to increase the budget of the state infrastructure development corporation (GSIDC)-the special purpose vehicle for such projects-to Rs 700 crore which is almost three times of the previous year.

KTC road in Margao to be widened

To get its chapel shifted to Madel in Margao, Managing Committee of St Francis Xavier Chapel had been literally running from pillar to post. The Chapel wants to shift from the old market-KTC bus stand road to opposite the road at Madel and it is trying for the same for the post 12 years. Once the chapel shifted, it will pave the way for widening of the KTC bus stand road.

Goa govt to build more bridges

The Goa government is set to build more bridges in the state, in addition to the ones already approved. The new projects under consideration of the GSIDC include bridges at Tiracol-Keri, Amona-Virdi, Rachol-Shiroda, Tuem-Camurlim, Chodan-Pomburpa and Panaji-Betim. Panaji Mayor asks for bridge details from GSIDC

Mayor of Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Surendra Furtado has written to the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) demanding details of the proposed bridge between Panaji and Betim. In a letter to GSIDC Managing Director Sanjit Rodrigues, Furtado has sought all details including traffic plans if any worked out since the ferry wharf area is very crowded.
