The country’s leading engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects, manufacturing, defence and services conglomerate, Larsen & Toubro on Monday announced 100 per cent completion and readiness for commissioning of the 99-MW Singoli-Bhatwari Hydroelectric Power Plant.

Officials said that over 1,000 MW of hydel power can be generated if an underground pump storage power plant is set up at Upper Sileru and another 230 MW can be generated at Lower Sileru.

Madhya Pradesh has readied its blueprint for the Rs 4000 crore worth Green Energy Corridor project spearheaded by Power Grid Corporation (PGCIL), as next the five years would add another 6,000 MW of renewable energy projects in its installed capacity. This will also include a mega solar power project of 750 MW capacity, reports the Business Standard.

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) Chairman Abdul Matlub Ahmad said the neighbouring country´s offer is in the form of a joint venture with Meghalaya government in developing cascading hydel power projects.
