Mandaviya Reviews Work on Country’s First Transshipment hub at Cochin Port

Minister of State for Shipping (Independent Charge), Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday reviewed the development activities of Vallarpadam Terminal of Cochin Port. The terminal is envisaged as the first transshipment port of India, managed by the UAE-based Dubai Ports World.

Developing a domestic transshipment port is a good idea if we talk about seaports, there are several countries and commercial centers around the world that don’t have a seaport and these countries have to use the seaports of other countries in order to import or export their cargo, which will give a competitive advantage.
