It provides an option of hot swapping which enables the user to change batteries without shutting down the computer, allowing work to continue 24X7 if required. It offers an optional smart card reader, fingerprint reader, contactless smart card reader and various interfaces and options like a Serial Port, VGA, PC Card, Rugged USB, 2ndLAN, etc.
