New transportation head

GE announced the appointment of Nalin Jain as the President and CEO of GE Transportation in India. Nalin take up this responsibility in addition to his existing role as the Head of GE Aviation in India.

Nalin has been with GE for over seven years and as the Head of Aviation business in India, he has the strategic responsibility of the region for both civil and military aviation business of GE. In his new expanded role, Nalin would be responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of GE Aviation and Transportation strategy in India. He will coordinate business activities; align priorities; and develop, maintain and enhance local relationships with in-country stakeholders. Jain joined GE Aviation, India from Bombardier in 2005 as Sales Director for the commercial business. After successfully handling this role for three years, he was promoted to lead the overall business in 2008. Nalin is a member of various aviation related industry association and committees and provides his inputs on this sector on a regular basis.

A mechanical engineer with an MBA from Indian School of Business, Jain started his career with Saint Gobain occupying different positions of increasing responsibility in sales & marketing, business development and general management.
