The Telangana government has proposed three changes in the alignment of the Hyderabad Metro rail project. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who held a meeting on the issue of changes to the alignment, reiterated that the government´s intention is to complete the Metro rail project without affecting places of worship or heritage structures in the city, a release issued by the Chief Minister´s office said. Changes proposed by the government would be officially communicated to the project developer Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the release said. These changes in alignment were recently discussed during a meeting attended by L&T´s Chairman AM Naik and Rao. The CM conducted the review today to firm up the proposed changes to which L&T has agreed, the release said.
