The Ministry of Urban Development has launched a mission to generate 100 MW of solar power in the next two years through roof-mounted solar panels, according to a statement. The Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and Solar Power Corporation of India (SPCI) have signed a memorandum of understanding in this regard. CPWD will provide 629 buildings owned and maintained by it in 18 States for installation of solar photovoltaic panels.
