The Shipping Ministry has initiated the upgradation of Kandla Port under the public private partnership (PPP). The work involves construction of three additional berths at an estimated cost of Rs 544 crore. To be completed in two years, Kandla Port will be able to hanÃÂdle 100 mmt capacity per annum.These berths have a handling capacity of 6 mt per annum. The port has plans for road, rail connectivity.
