Coal India (CIL) plans to increase its growth in production to 6.5 per cent from the current level of 5.2 in order to attain the output target of 468 million tonne for 2012-13. If CIL achieves the production target for the 2012-13, then it would be able to meet the coal commitment of power firms with which it has signed fuel supply pacts.
