The Rajasthan government awarded a Rs 396 crore contract to SPML Infra for water infrastructure development work in Ratangarh-Sujangarh and Fatehpur-Laxmangarh in Churu district.
According to the terms of the contract, the firm has to complete the work in three years. In an official communication, the firm said the new order would help it in building robust infrastructure in providing drinking water to almost half a million population of Churu district.
The new order is a testimony of the firm’s capabilities in executing water management projects and the trust, its esteemed clients’ places in the company, the statement said.
SPML has been developing modern infrastructure for drinking water supply, waste water treatment and sewerage management for the past three decades in India and has a special connect with Rajasthan where it has developed a number of water infrastructure, the statement said.
The company also secured a Rs 92 crore contract from PHED, Jaipur, for development of water supply system for 92 villages along with other habitations of tehsil Laxmangarhof Sikar district in Rajasthan. This would benefit over 1 lakh population in Sikar district. The construction period for this project is two years.
