To boost Rajasthan’s renewable energy capacity and to construct a power transmission system in the state, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to provide a loan of $500 million. The new power transmission system will be made up of 1,850 km of transmission lines, three 400 KV substations and nine 220 KV grid substations. The transmission system will be mainly located in western Rajasthan. The funds will also be used to boost the transmission capacity of seven existing substations.
