Hyderabad-based Gayatri Projects has posted a net profit of Rs 20.84 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013 against a profit of Rs 12.92 crore for the corresponding period last year.
The Hyderabad-based construction and infrastructure company registered a total income of Rs 447.80 crore (Rs 419.59 crore). During the first half, ended September 30, it posted a net profit of Rs 29.95 crore (Rs 20.95 crore) and total income of Rs 892.42 crore (Rs 823.80 crore).
The EPS was up at Rs 6.89 (Rs 4.86). According to a statement filed with the exchanges, the companyÂ’s finance cost for the quarter includes a provision of Rs 10.97 crore for foreign exchange transaction loss on account of liability towards External Commercial Borrowings.
