Vedanta Resources expects to resume iron ore mining in Goa early next year. According to Tom Albanese, CEO, Vedanta Resources, the company hopes for some steps to be taken by the Centre to rescue the mining sector which has borne the brunt of high exports duty on ore. Besides, he added that the company is engaging with the Goa government and the Ministry of Environment and Forests to get approvals for resuming mining operations.
