Gamesa Wind Turbines Private Limited has signed an order for wind power projects of 250 MW capacity with Orange Renewable. Of this, 100 MW will come up in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh and the rest in Madhya Pradesh.
Promoted by AT Holdings Pte Ltd, Singapore, Orange Renewable has tied up with Gamesa for supply of 125 units of G97 – 2.0MW – T104 across the three identified sites.
While 100 MW at Anantapur and 50MW at Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh are scheduled to be completed by March 2016, a 100 MW project in Agar, Madhya Pradesh is to be commissioned by September 2016.
For the Anantapur project, Gamesa will be provide turnkey solutions. In the Madhya Pradesh projects, it will be responsible for supply, erection and commissioning. India has emerged as a promising wind power market with installed capacity expected to increase from 23,000 MW to 40,000 MW by 2019, according to sector consultancy BTM´s estimates.
