Accepting the long pending demand of ferrous and non-ferrous metal recyclers in India, the Union government has agreed to frame a national policy on metal recycling. Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Steel, announced that there would be a set of policies on end-of-life-cycle commodities and a new institutional mechanism framed as per the industry´s requirements, which will best suit the country´s requirements.
