Survey to alienate land in Polaki mandal of the district where Japanese company Sumitomo Corporation plans to establish an ultra supercritical thermal power project in Andhra Pradesh has hit a snag with Left parties and farmers´ groups opposing it. The inordinate delay is reportedly causing embarrassment to revenue officials. The state signed an agreement with Sumitomo Corporation during Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu´s visit to Japan in November 2014.
