Vikram B Sharma, Managing Director, Supreme Infrastructure India Ltd

In 1999, when the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation awarded the construction of solid approach road from Mumbai’s Mahim Junction to Bandra Worli Sealink to Supreme Infrastructure, it became the first project for Vikram Sharma after he joined the company. The project was successfully completed under his supervision. Today, at 36, Sharma has repeatedly proved himself invaluable to Supreme’s endeavours towards being a leader amongst infrastructure developers.
Sharma joined the company as a Director in August 1998, and even before graduating, he started working with the Company and gained the experience of construction activities. After he completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil from Bombay University, in 1999, he joined the Company full-time and took over the responsibility of procurement and execution of projects.

Since then the Company has completed and carried out many government projects. With the successful execution and completion of several contracts under his expertise, the Company has become eligible for the handling of new contracts like construction of bridge work, sewerage systems and large contract work of concretisation.

The company has believed in integrating the processes, and Sharma was instrumental in installing and commissioning of Ready Mix Concrete Plant in 2003, and in removing many bottlenecks in improving the production capacity of their asphalt plant. Sharma believes joint ventures are a great thing, and sure enough, the company has seen several under his leadership.
