The airline has expanded connectivity from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to meet peak-season demand.
Air India and Air India Express have announced the addition of 166 flights to and from Patna to meet surging travel demand during Diwali and Chhath Puja. The expanded schedule, effective between October 15 and November 3, significantly boosts connectivity to Bihar’s capital from key metros including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
Air India will operate 114 additional flights between October 15 and November 2, comprising 38 each on the Delhi-Patna, Mumbai-Patna, and Bengaluru-Patna routes. Air India Express will add 52 flights between October 22 and November 3, with 26 each on the Delhi-Patna and Bengaluru-Patna sectors.
These additions supplement Air India’s existing schedule of 42 weekly flights to Patna from Delhi and Mumbai, alongside 14 weekly flights operated by Air India Express from Delhi and Bengaluru. The combined uplift is expected to ease travel for thousands of passengers returning home or visiting family during the festive period.
The airlines said the expanded network also enables seamless onward connections via Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru to other parts of India and international destinations in the Middle East and Europe.
Bookings for the additional flights are open across Air India and Air India Express websites, mobile apps, contact centres, ticketing offices, and travel agents.
