The integrated team will be led by Manish Puri, newly elevated as Head of Global Sales. He will focus on strengthening trade partnerships and ensuring seamless representation of both carriers under a unified framework.

In a strategic move to streamline operations and enhance engagement with the travel trade community, Air India Group has integrated the sales teams of Air India and Air India Express. The unified team will now represent both carriers across domestic and international markets, enabling a single-window interface for trade partners.

The consolidated sales function will be led by Manish Puri, who has been elevated to Head of Global Sales. He will oversee stakeholder engagement and drive commercial alignment across the group’s network.

“The integration of Air India and Air India Express sales teams marks a significant development in our journey to simplify operations and deliver greater value to our partners. With the unified approach, it will be seamless for our trade partners to have a single point of contact for Air India Group,” said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer, Air India.

The move is part of the broader Vihaan.AI transformation programme, launched in September 2022, which aims to build operational synergies across the Tata-owned aviation portfolio. Earlier, the group had merged Vistara with Air India and AirAsia India with Air India Express to consolidate its full-service and low-cost segments.

The move marks a step towards building a leaner, more responsive sales and distribution framework. By aligning resources and consolidating outreach, the group aims to deliver a consistent experience across its expanding network and reinforce its position as India’s leading airline conglomerate.
