Allcargo Logistics plans to set up a logistics park in Jhajjar district of Haryana, mainly to cater to the growing container traffic in the northern parts of the country. ‘Allcargo has in-principle approved setting up a logistics park in Haryana.
The facility is expected to be operational by 2018, subject to necessary regulatory approvals and rail connectivity,’ the company said. The project will comprise a rail-linked private freight terminal catering to railway cargo, a free-trade warehousing zone and domestic tariff area among other things.
It will also have the facility to handle both in-bound and out-bound contract logistics services. Allcargo has identified approximately 200 acres of freehold agricultural land for developing the said project, close to the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC).
