Bhubaneswar plans flyover in mishap zone

To ease traffic burden on the highway stretch between Kolathia Square and Khandagiri Square in Bhubaneswar, the city police have discussed with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and proposed to build a flyover on the stretch. The development takes place following an accident on December 1, om which three were killed.

The city police have strongly recommended tp tje NHAI to build a a flyover between Khandagiri and Kolathia to ease the traffic burden. Though the entry of heavy vehicles have been restricted down the Khandagiri hills, it has been planned to set up two height barriers to prevent plying of heavy vehicles, the police said.
