To tide over the traffic snarls in Bhubaneswar, the Odisha government has decided to construct three more flyovers at a cost of Rs 140 crore at Housing Board Square, Nalco Square and Damana Square. While the flyover at Housing Board Square would be built at a cost of nearly Rs 74 crore, the overbridges at Nalco Square and Damana would be commissioned at around Rs 66 crore each.
These three junctions in Bhubaneswar have heavy traffic and the flyovers would be constructed under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) scheme.
An underpass at Raj Mahal would be constructed at a cost of around Rs 55 crore, the State government said.
