The Bihar government on July 11 sought World Bank assistance for linking areas with habitations of more than 250 people with all season roads. The assistance was sought during a meeting of World Bank country Director in India Oano Ruhul with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna, an official release said. They discussed in detail the programme of connecting habitations of more than 250 people with concrete roads.
The Nitish government, which has constructed quality roads across the state, announced its new initiative while presenting governmentÂ’s report card on November 25 in 2012 of constructing all season road in habitations of 250 population. The chief minister told the World Bank representative that the state government intended to open one plus two level high school in every panchayat for widening educational base in the state.
