In its next budget, the Bihar government may come up with a separate policy on road maintenance in the next budget. The government’s move is by keeping in view the maintenance of all roads built during the last seven years.
While addressing a pre-budget discussion at BIA auditorium, on February 3, Deputy CM and Finance Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said the proposed policy is almost in final stage and it will be notified soon. In the last seven years of NDA regime, the State government has built, strengthened and widened almost all roads of the state.
Now, these roads require necessary maintenance. Keeping this in mind, the State government is preparing its own Road Maintenance Policy which will encompass every possible aspect of road maintenance works, he added.
