National airports operator Airports Authority of India (AAI) has enhanced its net profit to Rs.2,537.36 crore in the last fiscal as against a profit-after tax of Rs.1,959.22 crore in FY 15, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha informed Parliament.

A new terminal will be constructed at Leh airport with an investment of around Rs.200 crore which will increase the passenger handling capacity. With the new terminal, the peak hour passenger capacity is expected to go up to 800 from current level of 250.
