Government plans to make India a hub for aircraft maintenance
In an effort to make India a hub for aircraft maintenance and repair, the government plans to set up two new facilities in the country to scale up the sector currently valued at around Rs 5,000 crore.
AAI makes a profit of Rs.2,537.36 crore
National airports operator Airports Authority of India (AAI) has enhanced its net profit to Rs.2,537.36 crore in the last fiscal as against a profit-after tax of Rs.1,959.22 crore in FY 15, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha informed Parliament.
Leh airport to get new terminal for Rs.200 cr
A new terminal will be constructed at Leh airport with an investment of around Rs.200 crore which will increase the passenger handling capacity. With the new terminal, the peak hour passenger capacity is expected to go up to 800 from current level of 250.
Promoters to invest Rs.234 cr in AirAsia
The promoters of AirAsia India will infuse Rs.234 crore in the airline as it plans to grow its domestic footprint and prepares for foreign flights.

Finally, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has turned the fortunes for Airport Express Line metro system. According to DMRC release, the footfall that connects the New Delhi railway station in the heart of Delhi to the airport has increased four times.
