To improve connectivity to the Ennore port and to boost industrial growth in the North Chennai, the Tamil Nadu government has revived the Northern Port Access (NPA) Road project to connect the Ennore port with Thatchur near Panchetti on Chennai Kolkata Highway. Govt committee says Adani port, SEZ flouted green norms
Adani Port and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has violated environmental clearance conditions, said a committee set up by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF). It recommended an environment restoration fund be formed to mitigate the damage.
