Govt allocates Rs 1,521 cr for renewable energy in 2013-14
The Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah has said that a gross budgetary support (GBS) of Rs 1,521 crore has been provided to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) during 2013-14, in comparison to GBS of Rs 1,385 crore and Revised Estimates of Rs 1,150 crore during 2012-13, for development and promotion of renewable energy activities. Govt asks CIL to sign supply pacts with power firms
The Union Coal Ministry has asked Coal India (CIL) to sign fuel supply pacts with the power generation companies, including NTPC, before finalising power purchase agreements with them.
