A more sustainable model for discoms
After being stuck in dispute for nearly 12 years, the newly implemented DOA clause in the Electricity Act hopes to bring about a more competitive environment for power distribution companies and lead to further reforms.
New interpretation brings sigh of relief
The new open access will encourage private players to enter the power generation segment, The Electricity Act 2003 (EA) had given a five-year notice in 2004 to stakeholders for impleÂmenting open access (OA).

Ports: Address regulatory discrepancies
Infra projects in the country do seem to have been languishing in recent times. As far as the port sector is concerned, too many Policies/Bills/Acts are in the ‘draft/consultation’ stage. The wait and watch situation appears to be prolonged.
