Now improved headlights for locomotives

For brighter visibility of tracks, especially at locations with bends, East Coast Railway (ECoR) has designed, developed and provided 'Four Beam Headlights' on its locomotives. The headlights are first of its kind in Indian Railways. Generally, the locomotives run on Indian Railways are fitted with Twin Beam Headlights where the focus is on a straight line.

Railways nod for launching SCLR girders in Mumbai

To start launching girders for the delayed Santa Cruz Chembur Link Road (SCLR) project in Mumbai, the Central Railway (CR) has finally given permission to the two infrastructure agencies. The nodal agency Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and the implementing agency Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRTC) have been waiting for issue of blocks (time for work) by the CR since March this year.

The progress on Kochi Metro rail project will evaluated by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on October 30. The CM's evaluation programme was earlier scheduled on October 26. He will also discuss development plans for Kochi City to be implemented along with the metro construction.
