UP becomes first state in India to have rapid rail system
Uttar Pradesh will be the first state in India to have a rapid rail system during the first implementation of RRTS. The first corridor network for the rapid rail will be connecting Delhi and Meerut. The plan was presented by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).

Due to the slow running of trains, four passenger trains face the problem of running down of batteries.
