Railway shuts 7 halt stations in Trichy over non-viability
Being commercially unviable, the Southern Railway has shut down the seven halt stations in Trichy railway division. Trichy– Lalgudi and Trichy- Riddhachalam passenger trains will not stop at Mandurai.
UP becomes first state in India to have rapid rail system
Uttar Pradesh will be the first state in India to have a rapid rail system during the first implementation of RRTS. The first corridor network for the rapid rail will be connecting Delhi and Meerut. The plan was presented by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).
