The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will no longer repair road trenches dug by utility companies. Instead, the civic body has now decided to ask the utility companies to reinstate the roads. Earlier, the BMC used to award the reinstatement work of trenches to the contractors and charge the utilities for this.

Residents demand widening of Lourdes Hospital road
In Kochi the narrow Lourdes Hospital Road which runs from Pachalam Junction to Don Bosco School, Vaduthala is all set to become the new traffic bottleneck in the city when work on Kochi Metro begins in right earnest.
