Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai has stated that India has offered to build 71 new bridges in Myanmar on the Tamu to Kalewa highway. He added that a team from the Road Transport and Highways Ministry is visiting that country as part of the project.

To enforce wearing helmet by two-wheeler drivers in Allahabad district, especially students, the District Magistrate Rajshekhar has asked the city police to conduct awareness drive in schools to ensure two-wheelers were driven only after obtaining a valid driving licence and compulsorily use of helmet.

Ahmedabad’s 7 model road projects cleared
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has cleared seven new model road projects in the last few weeks. These projects were in the pipeline for long and were held back for the Election Commission's approval. The projects will cost Rs 143.87 crore. A major chunk of the money will be pumped into road construction in the west zone, which has seen an allocation of Rs 56.55 crore.
