1,000 CNG-powered buses that will be based in Kochi as announced in the state´s budget are expected to replace as many buses that will be pulled out of service over a five-year period from the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). The buses are worth Rs.300 crore and are expected to connect Kochi with neighbouring districts.
