Citing rise in input costs, Mahanagar Gas (MGL) said it would raise the price of compressed natural gas (CNG)
by about 2.57 per cent or Rs 0.85 per kg in Mumbai.
Following the hike, the revised rate for 1 kg compressed
natural gas (CNG) in the city will be Rs 33.95.
According to a company statement, even after the revision, MGL’s CNG remains attractive and offers savings of about 69 per cent and 42 per cent compared to current petrol and diesel prices in the city, respectively.
