Andhra Pradesh Industries Commissioner welcomed the central government’s move to include Krishnapatnam port in the international industrial zone. The zone is planned along the Chennai-Bangalore railway corridor. The move is expected to boost industrial development in Andhra Pradesh, analysts feel.
Kumar said the inclusion of the port would attract more industries to the state. Further, he said the central government granted a third National Investment Manufacturing Zone (Nimz), which would be located in Prakasam district.
