For the development of 600 MW of solar power projects in the Uttar Pradesh district of Jhansi, TUSCO, a joint venture business of THDC India and the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA), has issued an invitation for bids.
The deadline for proposal submissions is February 28, 2023. The following day, the bids will be opened.
The project is expected to cost Rs 5.12 million.
The earnest money deposit amount is Rs 51,170 and must be submitted by bidders. The winning bidder will be required to provide a performance bank guarantee in the amount of 3% of the contract’s value.
The contract will be in effect for four months.
The consultant must have conducted at least five years of environmental and social impact assessments for infrastructure projects, including renewable energy projects for the public or private sector, in order to take part in the bidding process. At least three of the aforementioned analyses should be in relation to the development of solar power plants.
Additionally, at least three of the aforementioned assessments should take into account the livelihood restoration plan and resettlement action plan from the previous five years.
In accordance with international norms, the consultant should also have experience doing environmental and social impact evaluations.
