The international crude oil price of Indian Basket fell to $106.42/per barrel (bbl) on September 24, says Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) on September 25. This was lower than the price $107.47/bbl on the previous trading day of September 23, the PPAC said.
PPAC is under the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. In rupee terms also, the crude oil price fell marginally to Rs 6,668.28 per bbl on September 24 as compared to Rs 6,719.02 /bbl on September 23.
This was due to fall in price in dollar terms as rupee depreciation moderated the gains. Rupee-dollar exchange rate on Sept 24 was Rs 62.66/US$ against Rs 62.52/bbl on previous trading day of Sept 23.
