The Chennai Metro Rail will soon appoint a design consultant specially for developing the largest underground station in Chennai, the Central Square. According to Chennai Metro Rail Ltd. (CMRL), this station- built at a cost of Rs.400 crore- will have an exclusive consultant for civil, architectural and landscaping works. Besides these, the consultant will have to supervise the construction work and design development. They have called for tenders for appointment of a consultant and this process will be completed soon.
