At Assam’s Dibrugarh Airport, two aerobridges became operational in the new terminal building of the airport on October 3. Paban Singh Ghatowar, Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region inaugurated the aerobridges.
Dibrugarh is the third airport to have the facility of aero-bridges after Kolkata and Guwahati airports in the region.
On August 8, the first trial of the aerobridges and push-back machines was held and the final trial was carried out this week from Sunday onwards for three consecutive days.
Passengers of Jet Airways (India) flights between Ahmedabad and Dibrugarh via Delhi and Guwahati will have the facility of disembarking from and boarding the aircraft through aerobridges.
