Long-term power purchase contracts will now be decided through reverse e-auctions and the successful bidder will sign power purchase agreements (PPA) with the utility that wants to buy power.
¨Public sector e-commerce site MSTC has been assigned the job of developing a national e-auction portal for establishing PPAs by distribution companies and licensees,¨ said SK Tripathi, Chairman and Managing Director, MSTC.
